April Fools hosted

had at last year’s Sing for your Supper evening meant we had to have another –
and this one was just as much fun. There was
plenty of wine and food to share – including some delicious home made platters
and desserts, and the entertainment was first rate. Most people
took a turn, though some preferred just to watch and enjoy, and there were
many varied and interesting acts. Catherine Cartwright played guitar and sang
some haunting Scottish ballads, Alan Glynne Jones took his by now familiar,
but still impressive, turn outside for some fire juggling, Sue Holligan read some poems and Lesley
Evans and Rebecca Rickard performed their act in French! There were many
more delightful contributions and if you missed it this time, make doubly
sure you’re there next year to see the amazing talent the Players can offer. |
