The Players are currently working towards their Autumn play production. This year’s play will be a drama directed by Vanessa Sharpe and produced by Jo Finch. J. B. Priestley’s “An Inspector Calls” is a play in three acts set in the Birling’s living room in the industrial city of Brumley in the Spring of 1912. The action takes place as the family has just finished dinner and is celebrating Sheila Birling’s engagement to Gerald Croft. In the midst of this jovial atmosphere an Inspector arrives, with some very disturbing questions about the death of a girl who, it seems, each member of the family is connected to in some way. The start up meeting was on Thursday 17^th May 8pm in the Scout Hut and casting has now been decided. However there are still opportunities for new and existing members to offer their support backstage and front of house. We are looking for people interested in staging, props, costume, makeup, sound, lighting, set painting, front of house, marketing… the list goes on. Please get in touch.
