were read and approved. 2. Matters
Arising There should
have been a play start-up meeting.
This was overlooked in the post-Panto daze and the need to get the
play cast and rehearsals started. A newsletter is
overdue. It could contain a preview of
the play to remind members that there is to be a play and to raise interest. The monthly
meetings have lapsed again. They
should be re-instated. Church
Fete. Could we sell tickets for the
play at the Fete? 2. Panto. The profit was
about £950 (income £1881, expenditure £925).
The takings were up on last year, due to the increased prices. It was decided that the 2007 panto should
be 24/25 Feb. A Director is needed for
the 2007 Panto. David Haydon said that
he would like to direct again if no one else was interested. The committee agreed. The balance in
the bank stands at £2900 – but there are debts of £356 outstanding. It was agreed
to donate £50 to the village school.
Claire Bevan said that the school was trying to raise money for things
other than books. It was agreed that
Claire should find out how the school would like the money donated. 3. Other Events The date of the
AGM was set as 21 Jun. Except for
David Haydon (Chairman), the committee agreed to stand for re-election. Vanessa Sharpe
agreed to arrange a Shakespeare evening on 19 Jul. The panto
start-up meeting will be on 14 Sep. It was proposed
that there be a Xmas social at the end of Nov – to include some form of
entertainment. The meeting was
